Welcome to the
Coast Guard Family!
Our mission is to provide support and resources for Coast Guard spouses as they transition from civilian life to military life. We are a group of volunteer military spouses who work together to ensure new spouses have a better understanding of what to expect in this new chapter of your life!

What it means to be a Coast Guard Spouse
You are part of the Coast Guard family, and an integral part of the support system of your member. As a team, you and your spouse will be navigating a new path as a Coast Guard Family. Your role as a support team member is equally as important as your Coastie's role in the Coast Guard. You are not alone and there is a plethora of resources to help you be successful in this new endeavor. Your success in this new adventure will be dependent on the family's flexibility and ability to be Semper Paratus (Always Ready). There may be changes in plans, last minute duties, and unexpected moves. Your love and support can make these unexpected moments manageable for your spouse and make your Coast Guard life an adventure full of opportunities and excitement.
Your spouse got off the bus in Cape May, New Jersey -- and since then their world is completely different! You'll be getting back your loved one a little more polished, a lot more capable, and the two of you (and your dependents) must be ready for the needs of the Coast Guard. Plans change often, frequently, and unexpectedly -- and this means how you handle your adventure is entirely up to you! As Guardian Spouses, we are here to help you understand what you have signed up for as a military spouse, and hopefully provide some best practices on how to become the best version of yourself as you navigate the waters of uncertainty and unexpected surprises!

This is the iconic Coast Guard water tower on the base at Cape May. It is a visual landmark for all entering the base, and a reminder of the time spent here at Cape May.

No matter what your loved one forgets during their time here on this base, they will always remember this water tower!
